Liquid Brilliants celebrates its 12th release with an EP of some of the deepest and most moving tunes happening in the deep spectrum of the drum n bass sound. 4 different artists with 4 varied interpretations of the deep. DJ Skill starts things off with Ultrapiano. Soft analog bleeps give way thru beautiful chords to a piano melody that will stay in your head until the morning. This late party roller keeps things moving with a tasteful analogic warp on the end of the phrase that pushes it into the second half, and keeps your body moving.
Incident drops Grey of the Morning on us with dubbed out samples, and a re-orchestrated jazz ensemble. Aphex Twin Ambient synth influence is all over this driving track. The second drop pushes powerfully, re-upping and re-loading the dancefloor. Coming in from The Square, We Move All is the most chilled track on the EP. Taking it back to the old school on the break, synth strings and vocal samples from your soul memories arise and move you. This deep roller crosses takes you home with synthetic strings and flute and is perfect for last hours of the dark.Finishing off this EP on a powerful note is Pure Love, from Command Strange & Jebar. Mellow, emotional strings combine with a smooth bassline and flowing percussion, creating a beautiful vibe. The essence of this tune is rooted in feeling and tastefulness, with each element coming together to form a brilliant conclusion. Pulsating synths and piano synergistically combine with the soundscape, adding depth while maintaining the ambience of the composition.

First Function and M25 from Russia land on Liquid Brilliants with a driving vocal tune in Ideas and Feelings. Kicking things off with an Indian vibe, washing organ chords and tabla drums take us to the main section of the track. A driving lead vocal functions as the catalyst over the forceful lead break. A big tune for the party, leave the MC out on this one when the vocals ride.
Woman in Black brings us some deep down funk, breaking down to half time hip hop beats and ratcheting itself back into roller territory, with a low flare bass and vocal sample riding the break. A nice complement to “Ideas and Feelings”, First Function & M25 show tenacity and compositional power on their sophomore outing for Liquid Brilliants.

Starting off with a tasteful string arrangment and percussion, Inside gives way to pure ecstatic moments during it's memorable build up and massive drop. Flanked with a huge backing beat, tranced out feel, and epic atmosphere, the tune is a massive roller. The trance gives way to electrofunk, with classic synths reminiscent of the detroit variety from the late 80s/early 90s. A solid groove builds, taking you higher with more and more appeggiation, and a brilliant shining synth line rides the top of the track. The breakdown washes out and over, reassembling with just the slightest hint of acid, and a monster sized rollout continues the electrofunkin' groove.

Soulgrifter graces us with these two blazing tunes - first off is Set My Soul on Fire, with the back room soul gangster funk. Light piano and vibes set the scene, illustrating a fresh, hidden back room where only the funkiest of the gangsters get down. Jazz style horns step up on stage as the track progresses, and lifts off to the next score - support from BBC1Xtra DJ Crissy Cris. U Made Me continues the high minded RNB sensabilities of the release, with some tasty guitar and percussion cavorting over a solid backbeat. Female vocals carry the tune throughout, and the laid back, deep atmosphere puts the mind in a blissed out state while the body stands up and funks it out.

Liquid Brilliants is proud to announce its latest release, this time from new artist dRamatic. Effectively riding the line between chilled out liquid and dancefloor, "Foundation" kicks it up with a funky bassline, a nice vocal sample and some organic instrumentation that really has an excellent groove and brings the track together in a driving, musical journey. On the flipside, "Played Thing" builds a serene texture, with an uplifting melody combined with snappy, but equally laid back drum work. "Played Thing" establishes a great balance between texture and tonality which makes one feel warm on even the coldest days.

Liquid Brilliants' latest release starts off with the unstoppable groove of German duo Soulgrifter. Hot off of their heels of their recent releases on Sensor and Phunkfiction, Cannot Resist's running beat rounds out the infectious funk stylings, combined with an unstoppable bassline and some keys thrown in for good measure. Auxiliary percussion compliments the already driving beat for a catchy and energetic number. For the next cut, Kaliningrad's Prestige teams up with Saint Petersburg producer PH for a liquid-laced dancefloor number, sure to kill it on the floor every time. Chunky beats push along a quick shuffle, which wastes no time on getting out of the gate. The string sample holds the groove together like glue, and a huge bassline comes in to rock the subs. Finally, the modulating basslines compliment the vocal sample just right, and really drive this composition home.
